GTA VI is set for 19 November 2026, after a second delay

Grand Theft Auto VI now has a date the publisher has put its own name to: Thursday, 19 November 2026.
It is the second slip. The game was originally planned for 2025, moved to 26 May 2026, and then to November. Rockstar’s stated reason for the latest change: “these extra months will allow us to finish the game with the level of polish you have come to expect and deserve.”
What is confirmed
- Platforms: PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. No PC date has been given.
- Pre-orders: open worldwide since 25 June 2026.
The date matters beyond the game itself. A November GTA release reshapes the entire holiday calendar — publishers move their own launches out of its way, which is why the rest of the year’s schedule is worth reading against this one fixed point.
